Challenge

A subject-matter expert with a body of recorded teaching content and a student base that needs affordable, accessible mathematics instruction faces a specific infrastructure problem. The content exists. The audience exists. What does not exist, until the platform does, is a reliable mechanism to get one to the other, with enrollment, payment, access control, and content delivery all handled within the same system.

Learn Ganit was built to give PU students in Karnataka access to recorded video classes for 1st PU, 2nd PU, and KCET/JEE Mathematics, taught by Dr. Prashanth Rao. The course content spans 200+ videos for the 2nd PUC program, 100+ for KCET/JEE, previous question paper walkthroughs, assignments, and tips for competitive exam preparation, all priced to be accessible relative to classroom coaching alternatives. The challenge was to build a platform where a student could discover the right course, purchase it, and move directly into structured content, without friction in any step of that sequence, and without requiring manual intervention on the educator’s side to manage access after enrollment.

Solution

The platform was built on WordPress with course purchasing and student access management integrated as a single system. A student arriving at the site can evaluate the course offering, access free trial content before purchasing, and complete enrollment through an online checkout, the full decision and purchase arc is contained within the platform.

Course content was organized by program: 2nd PU Mathematics, 1st PU Mathematics, and KCET/JEE Mathematics each have their own course structure, with lessons broken into sub-topics so a student can navigate directly to the concept they need rather than moving through the full video sequence to find it. Quizzes and assignments are embedded within the course structure to reinforce what the video lessons cover.

Student access is managed through a login system tied to enrollment, so that purchased course content is accessible only to the student who bought it, from any device they use. The “My Courses” section gives enrolled students a direct return path to their active courses without re-navigating the purchase flow. The UI was built to be navigable by the target audience, PU students, many of whom are accessing the platform on mobile, with responsive performance across device types given that home-based learning on phone is the primary use case.

Results of the collaboration so far

A student who finds Learn Ganit through search or word of mouth can now sample the content through free trial access, make a purchase decision, and begin the full course within the same session. The enrollment and access path is handled by the platform without any manual step on the educator’s side.

Course content is organized such that a student preparing for a specific exam, 2nd PUC boards or KCET/JEE, reaches the relevant program and its structured lessons directly. Previous question paper solutions, assignments, and tips are accessible within the same course environment rather than distributed across separate links or documents.

The platform operates across desktop and mobile, which matters for a product built around the premise that students can learn from wherever they are.

Conclusion

Teaching content does not become a product until the infrastructure exists to sell it, deliver it, and manage access to it without manual overhead. The work here was to build that infrastructure for a single educator’s course library, precisely enough that the platform handles everything between a student’s first visit and their last lesson.
